Hiking with kids: The hiking trails in the Pöllauer Tal natural parks are all easily manageable for children of a school age. The elevations in the surrounding area of Pöllau are slightly lower than those in the higher areas. The following themed trails and parks presenting the wonders of nature are especially suited to families: the park of natural ENERGY (NaturKRAFTpark), wonders of nature park at the guesthouse "Zur Grünen Au" , forest nature trail on the Masenberg mountain, place by the brook (Platzerl am Bach), theme gardens on the Pöllauberg hill.


Summer programme of events: In the summer months we offer families and small groups of visitors a programme of events boasting many exciting and interesting activities and guided tours. Let us take you away from it all for just a few informative hours and you're guaranteed to have an adventure! Our natural park guides have excellent expert knowledge of the park and also know a whole lot of insider tips about the region, too.


Alternative rainy weather programme: The colourful rainbow gives you a good opportunity to learn about another side of the Pöllauer Tal natural park. It's simply fantastic to, for example, take an umbrella and jump from puddle to puddle or to walk through the wood in the rain. But for those of you who'd prefer to keep their feet dry, here's a list of indoor activities to do in the region: exhibitions and museums, stone carving (see summer programme of events), Fandler oil mill, curling, library in Pöllau castle and the Pöllauberg rectory, MAXOOM in Hartberg - the largest cinema screen in the whole of Austria
